Losing Sleep

This week has been a trial run for "real life". Next week my sweet daughter goes off to kindergarten. I am having many issues with this, but the biggest one is adjusting my schedule. I am a night hawk. Anyone who knows me, knows I can stay up late and I love sleep. To get me up and going before 8:00 am is amazing! In the past 5 years I have gotten up twice before 8:00 am - both times I was in labor with contractions sending me through the roof. Kindergarten starts at 8:00 am. Needless to say, I am in trouble!

I am also having major emotional issues with my daughter going to kindergarten. She is my "sunshine". I can't believe she is 5 years old! I remember being pregnant with her and having so many complications that we were praying to just get her here. How can she go from such a small, fragile newborn to an "I can take on the world" kindergartner so quickly. She has been such a delight to have had around, I will miss her while she is gone. Well... it's just for 2 1/2 hours.... what am I talking about?

Sunday

We have a busy schedule on Sundays. My husband has early church meetings, so we are always a little frantic. It takes a lot of planning and creative thinking to get myself and my 3 children fed, dressed and out the door on any given day, but on a Sunday when we all need to actually look respectable.... it takes divine intervention! It is amazing how quickly one child can undress another while I am dressing the third. They are very talented! We are lucky enough to get to church 10 minutes late and I am trying to get my children in a little more mellow mood. I ask my son what he was looking forward to at church today and he replies, in his most excited voice, "Diego!". I don't recall that being a story from the scriptures....
