How Does Your Garden Grow

I love to garden. It is something my parents did. The whole family would be out helping in the garden. I did not like it then.

For some reason I love it now. It relaxes me and is so fun to eat something you grew in your own garden. We don't have a huge garden, but it still works well.

We have been looking at different homes... which is more of a yearly "Spring Tradition" than a real thought of moving... but this year I have added a large yard to the criteria for our "Dream Home" so we can really have a garden!

I get excited thinking about it, but my husband reminds me that a larger garden is a lot more work. Yeah, we are not moving any time soon.

I thought I wanted a big garden and I had a lovely one for three years, but then I was done. It was frustrating and a lot of work. I think my green thumb is lacking too, though. I never had very good yields or the fruits didn't taste very good. Maybe I needed to spend more money on improving my soil. Now I don't have a garden at all and I'm just fine with that. Maybe we'll get a community plot next year, which would be fun, but I'll have to see. I do like having home grown tomatoes and zucinni. My kids loved it.
