I went to a concert last night with 2 of my sisters and my dad. It was the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with guests The Osmond's. They are both wonderful, so it was a treat to have them together. It was a bit odd to have the Conference Center all lit up with flashing lights and the sound of an electric guitar, but still it was great!
Of course, being a "Utah Mormon", I have grown up listening to them and loving them. Last night was wonderful! It was fun to be with my family and relive some of the memories of my childhood. I think my dad was quite shocked to see me and my sisters so excited... I have never been to a concert like this with him.
I know this is cheesy, but it just wouldn't be right with out it... come on, you know you want to sing along.
May tomorrow be the perfect day,
may you find love and laughter along the way.
May God keep you in His tender care,
'til He brings us together again.
Good night, everybody!

I agree with you! That little sign-off was the only thing missing at the very end (and doing it as an audience sing-a-long would have been perfect, huh!) :)
I am glad that you had a fabulous time. I sure did!
I guess I am definitely not a "Utah Mormon." I don't know that song, because when I read the words, I can't hear the music!
You need to post some new pics of the kiddos! I'm sure your little Sara is into all sorts of toddler mischief these days. I so miss how Nate says "Justin." And Megan (sp?) knocking on our door, asking us to come out and play with her.
I will never forget your kids, but they are probably so much bigger now that it's been a while since I've seen them!
Ookie, you make me happy.
Ok so I loved this concert, we didn't see it in person but we watched it numerous times on t.v. and I couldn't help but love them and sing along and also remember them in my childhood.
The lyrics to this song make me think of all of my family members past and present. I felt this song back when I used to watch Donny & Marie, and I still feel the same way. I plan to record a version of it soon.
