HAPPY HALLOWEEN

We had a pumpkin carving family home evening. It was so much fun, but my sweet husband and I got some tired arms from all the scooping and carving! We need to remember to start a workout program for next year to be ready for it!

Halloween is too much fun when you have 3 kids! We had a great time playing at Discovery Gateway this mornign. It was nearly empty and we loved it! They had some fun things, too... face painting, mask decorating, trick or treat bag decorating, fortune telling and some others we didn't get to.
We then ventured to trick or treat at Foothill Village. It has been a tradition for us for the past few years and is sooooo nice! It is during the afternoon and is warm and is friendly and you get a ton of candy!

We are just about to head out for some neighborhood goodie hunting. Can you say sugar high?!?!?! What a great holiday!
Mostly I am excited to have some candy myself and not throw it up! I may have just jinxed myself there!

Carrie and Trent used power tools to carve pumpkins this year. They even used a hand mixer (I believe) to loosen the insides and just dump them out.

Hannah is correct. I saw it on the Today show. Take a power screwdriver and put in a mixer beater instead of a drill bit. It goes much faster! You can even use some of your power saws and drill bits to cut out the designs. It does make a mess and you have to clean the drill well, but it was much nicer this way.
