A Few of My Favorite Things

My daughter was coming inside and mentioned the raindrops falling and then walked past our rose bush and mentioned it. Of course, I then broke out into the classic song and have not been able to get it out of my head. I thought if I got down some of my favorite things, it would help ease the song out of my head.

I love plaid. I love socks. I really love plaid socks, but I feel self-conscience wearing them out in public. I love blankets. I love flowers. I love the smell of fresh cut grass. I love yard work, but hate cleaning the house. I love raspberries, strawberries, and peaches. I love chocolate. I love bread. I love to create things - recipes, crafts, sewing projects. I love teddy bears, especially when my baby girl hugs hers so tight. I love 80's music. I love 80's movies. I love doing puzzles. I love that my children love doing puzzles. I love math. I love the color blue and I am liking red more and more. I love pictures and scrapbooks. I love my family. I love bedtime when they are peaceful. I love a clear star filled night. I love campfires. I love hiking. I love springtime. I love Christmas. I love a good book.

These are a few of my favorite things.... now hopefully I can stop singing that song over and over.

Birthday Boy

Last week we celebrated our little boy's birthday. Well, I guess he is not little anymore. He is now 4 years old and a little crazy! He keeps me busy with all his curious adventures around the house and probably spends more time in time-out than he thinks he should, but he is great and I am willing to put up with some diasters to have him in my life! Happy Birthday Buddy!

Snow

Sorry, I haven't posted lately. I have been busy shoveling snow in my spare time.

I love freshly fallen snow. It makes things seem magical and somehow lazy. How I want to have a warm fire , a cup of hot cocoa and good book! Oh, if only!

Yet the snow has been here for a while. I am ready for the snow to be done. I am ready for the lazy feeling to be replaced with energy. I am ready for a change in the weather.

Lots of things are changing in my life lately. Some are good, some I wanted, some are a little hard to accept, but they still must change. Change is good. If only the weather would catch on.
