Dear 2010

Dear 2010,

I was hoping you and I would be great friends. In fact I was hoping we would be bestest friends. Yet, somehow we have not gotten off on the right foot.

We did have a wonderful opening weekend with the traditional bowling on New Years Day and then my sweet Pie's baptism the next day. I thank you for a nice welcome to the year.

However, I am troubled with the events that have happened since. For instance, the following Monday, the first day back to work, my husband slips and falls on the ice and is in horrible pain for a week.

Then, as he is getting back to normal mobility, my children come home from school with some nasty bug that then passes through the family and I find myself very busy cleaning up throw up and diarrhea everyday for a week.

Now, we are all feeling quite recovered and excited to move onto happier things, when I am awakened by 2 sore-throated children this morning. Yes, strep-throat has made it's way into our home and I feel it may be here for a while.

Oh, 2010! What are you doing? I realize it is only 19 days in to our relationship, and I have not given it much time, but I somehow expected things to be better than we currently find ourselves. I hope things will improve over the next 11 months.

Sincerely yours,

One Sick & Tired Mother

Poor sweetie! I'm so sorry. I've been trying out essential oils and they seemed to have helped us keep the diseases at bay, but who knows. Congrats to Pie on her baptism! Weird that we are old enough to have kids getting baptized.

Oh I am so sorry for you!!! I am glad I am not in Utah though... to stay away from all the sickness. We haven't had any real bad sickness.....yet this season.
I am so sorry that your hubby got hurt! I wish I could help you and give you a break so you could take a long winters nap!!!

I also love your cute blog background--- so fun!
